The
Woudagemaal, situated in the Netherlands, was build in 1920 and
still is the worlds biggest steam-powered pumping station.
Even
untill today this installation is standby to lower the water level
of the province of Friesland when necessary.
Thanks
to it's unique character and propulsion, the Woudagemaal was registered
on the Unesco World Heritage list.
The
first 7 of the pictures are made in the boiler room, the 10 next
ones in the turbine room.
