The
Philharmony of Luxembourg is a remarkable architectural building,
designed by Christian de Portzamparc. His concept was considered
to be the best in an international competition. It was realised
between 2002 and 2005. The facades are consisting of 823 white
steel colums.
The
building is situated in the Kirschberg area (where also some European
institutions can be found) and is the homebase of the Philharmonic
Orchestra of Luxembourg. In the great hall are 1500 seats.
